Van Delivery Driver - Driver Hire Southampton : Job Details

Driver Hire Southampton has a fantastic new opening for an experienced Van Driver to assist our client with their deliveries of hire equipment.

As a key member of the team, you will ensure that hire equipment reaches its destination safely and on time, providing exceptional service with every delivery. If you're a responsible driver who loves variety and enjoys interacting with people, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

About this Van Driving role:

• Monday to Friday ongoing work
• 7:00am- 5:00pm
• Deliveries and collections of hire equipment around the South Coast
• Use handheld device to track and take photos of deliveries, collections and exchanges
• Carry out multidrop deliveries and collections- on average between 15-20 drops per day
• Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure vehicle is safe to drive
• You will be responsible of loading and unloading any equipment on the vehicle ensuring everything is strapped correctly using rachet straps

What we require from you as a Van Driver:

• Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 1 year
• Towing experience preferred but not essential
• Own transport to commute to and from work
• Strapping experience is required
• Understand manual handling and heavy lifting procedures
• Have exceptional communication and customer service skills
• Flexible to work overtime when required
