The owner has worked in the motor trade for over 55 years and started the business in 1981 on the present site in Winklebury. Our workshop is equipped to handle minor to major repairs on all models. Job Summary:Seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles. The Vehicle Technician should have a strong mechanical knowledge and excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:- Perform vehicle diagnostics to identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions- Repair and maintain vehicles according to manufacturer standards- Utilize schematics and technical manuals for accurate repairs- Conduct heavy lifting tasks as needed during repairs or maintenance- Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment for vehicle repair and maintenance- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components for inspection and repair- Welding tasks when necessary for vehicle repairs
Qualifications:- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role- Mechanical knowledge and aptitude for vehicle repair- Strong customer service skills to interact with clients effectively- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals- Capable of heavy lifting during repairs or maintenance tasks- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment for repairs- Experience in assembling, disassembling, and reassembling vehicle components- Welding skills are a plus

Pay and Benefits: 40 hour week, 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday
Salary £30,000 to £39,000 including bonus after probationary period, dependent on experience
