Job Description :

We're looking for a Visitor Operations and Experience Manager to join the Hughenden, West Wycombe and Central Chilterns portfolio. This is an ideal opportunity for someone that loves delivering creative and exciting visitor experiences and enjoys operational management.

This is a fixed term contract due to end when the previous employee returns from maternity leave. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months.

What it's like to work here

Reporting into the General Manager, the Visitor Operations and Experience Manager, you'll be responsible for the strategic planning and day-to-day management of the visitor experience offer across Hughenden and West Wycombe Park. With direct line management for three team members, you'll be leading the development of the direction of visitor engagement, including interpretation and property programming.

You'll be based out of Hughenden Manor. The role includes regular weekend and bank holiday working.

Hughenden Manor was the home of Victorian Prime Minister Benjamin Disreali and the location of a top secret WW2 operartion. It is an impressive red brick mansion surrounded by rolling parkland. Hughenden Manor is situated a short distance from High Wycombe and local transport links are excellent.

Perched on a hilltop, the country home delivers historic vistas of the surrounding woodland and valleys that come into their own. Its tree-filled pleasure gardens are a mosaic of colour, with the rich golds and reds of the beech trees contrasting to the lush evergreens.  

What you'll be doing

The Visitor Operations & Experience Manager is critical to the day-to-day management, as well as a key member of the Property Leadership Team. You'll work collaboratively with other members of the portfolio team, consultants, local communities to lead the development and delivery of the visitor offer at Hughenden. Exploring creative and innovative ways to share the incredible stories that Hughenden has to offer, as well as looking at ways in which to be more relevant to our local communities.
