We are seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to oversee the international dispatch and export of goods from our sites on 2 sires Cumbria and Stafford. The successful candidate will strategically coordinate our global transportation, ensuring seamless, efficient, and cost-effective delivery across international markets, while maintaining compliance with domestic and foreign customs regulations and international commerce.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead, mentor, and develop direct teams in both Cumbria and Staffordshire.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international trade policies and laws regarding trade, shipping, and storage of inventory.
- Provide operational support to resolve freight payment and billing issues.
- Manage the application and renewal of export licenses.
- Implement procedures to close or minimise gaps in trade compliance.
- Oversee collections and deliveries with couriers.
- Track shipments and handle delivery queries.
- Respond to potential problems affecting worldwide logistics operations.
- Work with regulatory bodies (FDA, USDA, CNCA) relating to international shipments and paperwork.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role with a successful track record in strategy development and execution.
- In-depth knowledge of international shipping protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Thorough understanding of international trade and commerce processes.
- Extensive knowledge in transportation modes, location-specific export regulations, and supply chain management.
- Experience working with freight forwarding companies, managed trade services, and customs brokers.
