Jobstore are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Manager who can be both hands on in running a very business component warehouse operation along with getting involved in the assembly of furniture related products.
Day to day responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the warehouse staff and daily activities.
- Manage the inventory control and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Monitor and prioritise workflow and schedules.
- Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of products meet customers timescales/requirements.
- Responsible for the maintenance of equipment and machinery, ensuring they are kept in good working order.
- Oversee the inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage the pre assembly and planned assembly of products either before dispatch or on a customers site.
Skills
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory role or similar position.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of import and export processes and procedures
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and materials handling.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Carpentry or Joinery background advantageous
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
