A Warehouse & Logistics Manager is sought to oversee the seamless operation of the warehouse, supporting the end-to-end supply chain of a direct-to-consumer (D2C) subscription business. This critical role involves managing inventory, streamlining processes, and maintaining high levels of accuracy, efficiency, and service. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the position requires strong organisational skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to lead a dynamic team to meet operational goals while providing exceptional customer satisfaction.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Warehouse Operations Management: Manages daily operations to ensure timely and accurate order processing, oversees goods receipt, storage, and distribution, and implements efficient warehouse processes.
- Refurbishing Equipment: Manages the refurbishment of returned equipment to meet quality standards and maintains efficient refurbishment processes.
- Inventory Control: Oversees inventory systems to minimize discrepancies and manages stock levels effectively.
- Logistics Coordination: Works with third-party logistics providers to ensure efficient delivery and returns processes.
- Team Leadership and Development: Leads and motivates the warehouse team, conducts performance reviews, and fosters a positive and safe working environment.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensures adherence to health and safety regulations and conducts risk assessments.
- Reporting and KPI Monitoring: Tracks and reports on key performance indicators, maintains detailed inventory reports, and provides regular updates to the Managing Director.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in warehouse or supply chain management, with a strong track record in team management and inventory systems.
- Qualifications & Training: Professional certifications in warehouse or supply chain management are essential. Experience with automation or efficiency-improving technologies is highly desirable.
- Skills, General & Special Knowledge: Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, strong communication skills, and an analytical mindset.
