Description
The Warehouse Operations Manager is accountable for the warehouse department's culture, performance, compliance and growth. Reporting in to the General Manager and based at our client's operation in Hemel Hempstead, this is a critical role in accurately and efficiently preparing customer orders in readiness for delivery to the right customer, at the right time. Key responsibilities will include:
- Plan and manage department resources and budgets to enable growth whilst optimising efficiencies and promoting sustainability goals.
- Set performance standards and deliver/exceed these through a leadership style that drives responsibility and accountability.
- Ensure warehouse management systems are being used effectively by the teams and agreed processes/standard ways of working are adopted.
- Build accountable, high performing and engaged warehouse teams.
- Drive a continuous improvement culture by using data analysis and insight to identify actions that improve performance vs. key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with other operational leaders to share and learn from best practices, implement new technologies and ways of working.
- Provide pro-active feedback, coaching and development to help warehouse team members reach their full potential.
- Cultivate an environment of positive well-being, safety, belonging, diversity and inclusion.
- Embrace a growth mindset and navigate change effectively.

Profile
The successful Warehouse Operations Manager will live within a commuting distance of our clients operation in Hemel Hempstead and will be able to demonstrate the following experience:
- Experience in leading large-scale warehouse operations within a fast-paced environment.
- A track record in effectively planning resource and managing cost, service and safety through others.
- Results-focused thinker with the ability to create and implement customer and people-focused plans to continuously improve both customer and colleague experiences.
- Ability to coach and mentor teams to achieve organisational goals, whilst developing a pipeline of great leaders.
- A change leader with the ability to drive performance through team engagement.

- Strong financial understanding and previous budget management responsibility.

- An attractive salary package ranging from £70,000 t0 £75,000 per annum.
