A new position is available for a Warehouse Operative & Driver, our client are a well established, niche freight forwarding agent, would suit a Trainee/2nd Jobber. All relevant training will be provided including Forklift, Security & H&S Courses. Suitable candidate must be 18 for insurance purposes and have been confidently driving for 1 year.

Employment Terms for the Warehouse Operative & Driver

• Monday-Friday 9-5.30 (flexible)
• 25 days holiday - increasing after 2 years by 1 day p.a. up to 30 days + BH

• £25k NEG/DOE & plus paid overtime as required

Warehouse Operative & Driver Requirements

• Physically Fit and Able to lift
• Good verbal & written English
• Basic MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel
• Bright & numerate
• Team Player
• Hard working
• Reliable & punctual
• Good Work ethic
• Hold a Standard UK Clean Driving Licence (max 3 pts)
• Min 18 for insurance purposes
• Forklift Licence (training provided)
• Confident Driver for min of 1 year
• Basic MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel
• Steady 5 year employment/education, ideally with NO GAPS
• NO criminal record

Warehouse Operative & Driver Duties

• Daily Vehicle & Forklift Checks/Log Book
• Collection & Deliveries (small van)
• Occasional distance driving (small van)
• Loading/Off Loading of Vehicles Counterbalance Forklift Licence (Training provided)
• Manual Handling of Goods
• Goods Booking in and out
• Check weigh freight and note dimensions
• Damage Reports
• Documentation checks
• Cargo Labelling
• Cargo Manifesting
• Dangerous Goods awareness
• Picking and packing
• Manual Bond Check
• Adhoc admin duties
