Job Overview:We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our client in Chelmsford. This role involves working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, ensuring smooth operations and efficient inventory management. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and processing incoming stock and materials.
  • Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Organising and storing inventory in the warehouse, ensuring stock is easily accessible.
  • Preparing goods for shipment, including labelling and loading products.
  • Conducting regular stock checks and updating inventory records.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse.
  • Assisting in the loading and unloading of deliveries.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Supporting with general warehouse duties as required.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is essential.
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.
  • Valid forklift license is a plus, but not essential
  • Strong communication skills.
