Job Title: Warehouse Operative / Van Driver

Location: Varey Road, Congleton CW12 1UW

Salary: Starting at Warehouse Grade 1 (currently £11.77 per hour).

Job Type:  Permanent / Fulltime 40 hours per week, Monday — Friday.

About the role:

Working within the Supply Chain & Logistics Department the Warehouse Operative/Van Driver will move stock between warehouses to ensure that the operation runs smoothly.

You will ensure that goods are handled with care, and support with orders being fulfilled on time whilst making sure that the customer is at the heart of everything we do. You will also provide support within the Warehouse order picking when not carrying out driving duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Loading / unloading materials on to the works vehicle.
• Loading / unloading containers, trailers or other vehicles as and when required.
• Checking deliveries are accurate against ASN’s and report any discrepancies.
• Ensure all paperwork is accurate to ensure correct stock levels.
• Prepare all paperwork required to pass on to Goods In.
• Delivering correct quantities of stock as requested by Customer Services in a timely manner.
• Keep track of fuel usage.
• Able to plan efficient route to and from both warehouses.
• Check and maintain the vehicles condition and report any defects.
• Ensure timely movement of goods to meet order deadlines.
• Handling stock within a warehouse setting and ensure timely completion of orders.

About you:

• Full, clean driving license.
• A positive hands-on approach.
• A proactive, “can do” attitude.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Good time management skills, with the ability to multi task effectively being crucial.
• Capacity to function alone without direct oversight, follow instructions as well as working on own initiative.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel within the company both verbally  & in writing.
• Experience working in manual role.
• Flexible approach to working hours .
• Previous experience working in a similar role within Warehousing or Distribution.
• PC skills.

Desirable criteria:

• FLT License.
• PPT License.
• Bendi-Truck License.
• Experience using SAP and/or WSM systems.
