You MUST have the following:

  • Experience leading a Windows Server/Wintel team
  • Great experience across Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019
  • VMware
  • SCCM
  • M365
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Azure

The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:

  • Citrix
  • AWS
  • PowerShell

Role: Windows Server Manager (Windows Infrastructure Engineering Team Lead Technical Manager Wintel Server Operations Systems 3rd Line WMware SCCM M365 Microsoft Exchange Azure AWS Cloud Citrix PowerShell Finance Financial Services Investment Banking Trading) required by our financial client in London. You will inherit a team of 8- 4 contract and 4 permanent engineers who cover the Wintel environment of 1400 servers in a 90% virtual environment. The team is responsible for both operational and engineering project work. In the next 12-24 months, they are looking to further modernise themselves, upgrading the windows estate, further using Docker containerisation and progressing further into Azure, AWS and the private cloud.

You will have full line management responsibility of the team but continue to be very hands-on. You will contribute towards the delivery of projects as well as be involved in production issues, escalations and resolution.

You will be strong across Azure, Windows 2019, VMware, Exchange, M365 and SCCM. Experience in AWS, PowerShell, Citrix and SQL Server are a bonus.

This is an excellent opportunity to enter into a trading, financial environment without prior experience. The company has hybrid working with 2 days/week working from home. The department is very meritocratic; there will be opportunities for future progression.

Salary: £80k - 95k + 10-15% Bonus + Pension
