Our client is a leading prestige franchise based in Bristol.
We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Workshop Controller to join their team and ensure the efficient running of our workshop operations.
Role Overview: As the Vehicle Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring that repairs and maintenance are carried out efficiently and to a high standard. You will work closely with the technicians, service advisors, and parts team to ensure a smooth workflow and meet customer expectations whilst also working being actively on the tools yourself.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring jobs are assigned to the right technicians.
- Monitor workflow and ensure all work is completed within agreed timeframes.
- Carry out service / repair / diagnostic work
- Conduct quality control checks on completed work, ensuring high standards are met.
- Liaise with service advisors and parts teams to ensure smooth communication between departments.
- Provide support and guidance to technicians, helping them resolve complex repair issues.
- Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to within the workshop.
- Manage and monitor workshop productivity, aiming to meet and exceed KPIs.
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, ensuring documentation is up-to-date.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Workshop Controller or senior workshop role within the motor trade.
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work closely with multiple departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
- MOT Licence and advantage but not essential
- Full UK driving license.
