Workshop TechnicianSalary: £25,000 - £30,000Location: Whitstable, KentHours: Monday to Thursday: 08:00am to 16:30pm and Friday 08:00am to 13:30pmBenefits: Group Personal Pension Plan, Employee Assistance Programme, Cycle to Work Scheme, Subsidised Restaurant Facility, Free Onsite ParkingWorkshop Technician Tasks:

• Read and follow all relevant documentation to carry out plating and finishing processes to company standards.
• Adhere to company process, manufacturing, and health and safety procedures.
• Follow the production plan and keep accurate quality records.
• Identify and apply correct jigging methods for a range of parts or wiring/barrelling methods.
• Handle chemicals safely in accordance with plating department procedures.
• Use x-ray spectrometer and other quality monitoring equipment to measure plating thickness.
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
• Understand and adhere to departmental and company health and safety rules.
• Perform all duties competently as a plating operator.
• Carry out additional tasks as reasonably requested.

Workshop Technician Experience:

• Ability to read and follow detailed documentation.
• Experience in plating or finishing processes.
• Knowledge of safe handling practices for chemicals.
• Proficiency in using quality monitoring equipment (e.g., x-ray spectrometer).
• Understanding of manufacturing quality control procedures.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in precision engineering sectors (e.g., aerospace, oil & gas).
