We are seeking a Workshop Technician to join our client's team in Abingdon This role is ideal for someone with a background in construction, plumbing, carpentry, or electrical work, who has experience working with apprentices or supporting training in these trades. The position offers a potential for permanent employment and requires an immediate start.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the practical training of apprentices in construction, plumbing, carpentry, or electrical skills.
- Maintain and prepare workshop equipment and materials for use in training sessions.
- Ensure a safe and tidy workshop environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support instructors during training sessions and help supervise apprentices.
- Provide hands-on assistance and guidance to apprentices as they learn trade skills.
- Manage inventory anorder supplies as needed to maintain workshop operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Level 2 qualification in Construction, Plumbing, Carpentry, or Electrical.
- Proven experience working with apprentices or in a training support role within the relevant trades.
- Strong practical skills and knowledge of workshop safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
