The role:

The X-Ray Screener will be responsible for using an x-ray machine to conduct screening and security checks for prohibited items of cargo to be transported by air.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• X-Ray screening parcels ready for export
• Conduct screening and security checks for prohibited items of cargo to be transported by air, in line with training and CAA regulations
• Recording and escalating any issues or concerns
• Pallet screening
• Maintain focus and awareness within a busy environment
• Tolerate moderate to loud level of noise in work environment
• Utilize knowledge of airline codes, prefixes, common cargo abbreviations
• Follow instructions from supervisor or lead screener
• Assisting in general warehouse duties.

Skills & Experience

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize and a proactive approach
• Must be physically fit due to Manual Handling.
• Excellent visual observation and identification ability
• Interpersonal skills - Must be able to communicate efficiently.
• Experience using an X-ray machine previously
