gap personnel Exeter, are recruiting for a Yard Operatives on a temporary to permanent contract for a distribution company based in Taunton, Somerset.

As a Warehouse & Yard Operative, you will be required to assist with deliveries, un-loading and loading of vehicles at the branch, safe storage of deliveries and the movement and accurate picking of orders. We are looking for someone who will maintain a clean and safe working environment and who will be an asset to the day-to-day operations within the branch. 

As a Yard Operative your duties will include:

• Helping to pick, process and pack customer orders.
• Able to follow direction for safe picking and processing of orders.
• Ensure items are all packed safely and securely.
• Observing safe systems of working.
• Assisting on local van deliveries
• Ensuring health and safety regulations are met and best practice standards observed.

About You:

• Experience with Manual Handling
• Happy with Heavy Lifting – 50kg+
• Certified Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• Full training provided.

Working Hours & Pay:

• Monday to Thursday, 0700am – 1630pm & Friday, 0700am – 1600pm
• £11.67ph per hour

Due to the site location your own transport is required to gain access to the site.
