About the Role
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in preparing students for their Key Stage 1 assessments while fostering a love for learning in an engaging and supportive classroom environment. Working collaboratively with the parallel Year 2 teacher, you'll share resources, ideas, and best practices to ensure excellence across the year group.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
- Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Preparing students for their end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments with confidence.
- Maintaining strong communication with parents and colleagues.
- Contributing to the wider school community and participating in extracurricular activities as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment framework.
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- A team player who values collaboration and shared success.
