Year 2 Class Teacher - Maternity Cover
We are seeking a Year 2 Class Teacher to start working in a fantastic primary school in the St Albans area! This is a full time position working 5 days and week and to be successful for this role you must be a qualified teacher and have previous teaching experience ideally.
The School:

- The curriculum in the school is well planned with a priority given to developing high standards of literacy and numeracy as a Year 2 Teacher

The Role:
- The role is for a full time Year 2 Teacher, Monday to Friday 8am - 16:30pm
- You will be required to demonstrate good knowledge of the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum, previous experience of working in KS1 is desirable but not essential
- To mark and assess pupils' work, and to record their development, progress and attainment, both at school and elsewhere, having regard to the requirements of the national curriculum
- Maintain good order, discipline and respect for others among pupils; to promote understanding of the school's rules and values; to safeguard health and safety; and to develop relationships with and between pupils conducive to optimum learning
- Plan and prepare lessons to engage the children with their learning
Requirements:
- You must have Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience teaching in KS1 is desirable but not essential
- Be an excellent communicator and have great behaviour management
- Have a 'child workforce only' DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
The role:
- You will have good knowledge In key stage 1 curriculum
- Plan and deliver lessons effectively
- You will mark and asses pupils' work, record their progress and accomplishments.
- To be a role model to the pupils' and promote good discipline and respect for the class.
- You will have an understanding of the school's rules and values to maintain safety and health.
Requirements:
- Must have a Qualified Teacher Status
- Have a 'child workforce only' DBS on the Update service or willing to acquire one.
- Experience teaching in KS1 is ideal but not essential. Other teaching experience is required.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and display a high level of patience and care.
- Must be in a commutable distance.
