Duties

  • Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 (KS1) curriculum.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing environment where children feel confident to express themselves and engage in learning.
  • Track student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Promote the development of key skills in literacy, numeracy, and social interactions.
  • Collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure the success of every child.
  • Create a well-organised and stimulating classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Skills

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 1.
  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum, including effective assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • A creative and resourceful teaching style that engages and motivates young learners.
  • The ability to manage classroom behaviour positively and effectively.
