Year 2 Teaching Assistant - 1:1 SEN Support - Outstanding Primary School - Camden - ASAP start

An Outstanding Primary School in the London borough of Camden is looking to recruit a Year 2 Teaching Assistant to support SEN students on a 1:1 basis. The successful candidate will join their team on a full-time and long-term basis.

This Year 2 Teaching Assistant role will involve working with a targeted child with ASD and complex needs. Experience in a similar role or environment is essential for this role, and the ideal candidate would be Team Teach trained, though this is not essential.

The Head is looking to interview and appoint someone to this role ASAP.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Year 2 Teaching Assistant

Your role as a Year 2 Teaching Assistant will include but not be limited to:

• Working with 2 targeted students in Year 2 on a 1:1 basis

• Autism support

• Supporting targeted students 1:1, in class and in small groups

• Open to experienced Graduates and qualified Teaching Assistants

• Term time only, Monday - Friday

• 8:30 - 16:30

• Full time position

• Long term position - until at least July 2025

• ASAP start

• £95 + per day

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Year 2 Teaching Assistant

The ideal candidate for this Year 2 Teaching Assistant position will have the following

• Hold a degree from a reputable UK University

• Strong academic background (GCSEs and A Levels)

• Experience working with children and young people with SEN - either professional or personal

• Experience of working within a similar environment or with children is essential

• A strong passion for working with children and young people

• You MUST be able to commit until at least July 2025
