About Us:

We are working with a primary school in the vibrant borough of Lewisham that provides a safe and nourishing environment. They are committed to ensuring all children overcome barriers to their learning and as such are looking for an experienced Year 4 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with SEMH needs. You must have very strong behaviour management skills and also be very good in supporting emotional regulation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be able to support and engage a pupil with SEMH
• Have high expectations and can deliver engaging learning
• Experience of supporting pupils in Key Stage 2
• Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents
• Support pupils with their academic learning
• Support the pupil’s emotional regulation

Requirements:

• Qualifications: Teaching Assistant or equivalent
• Experience: Previous experience working with pupils with SEMH
• Knowledge: Supporting emotional regulation
• Desirable: Strong behaviour management
